The Multi-Talented Chef...
Born in Curaçao, Leslie Martina landed in Sint Maarten when he was just 7 years old.
It is important to point out that, at the time, the circumstances surrounding his arrival
were not exactly what you could call the best. As his parents had recently divorced,
he was living alone with his father and his brother and found himself responsible for all
the household chores. He took care of the cleaning, the laundry, the shopping and, of
necessity, also prepared the meals. It might seem pointless to explain so much personal
history, but in this case it isn’t. Because this early experience strengthened his character
and very certainly influenced how the rest of his life unfolded. Leslie Martina surely
did not become a master chef... by accident.
