tion, both in craftsmanship as aesthet-

If necessity is the mother of invention
then creativity is its father.
Novelty is the quality of being new
and unique. The term itself is derived
from latin languages: novo, means
new in Italian; nouveau is French. A
nouvelle is a new story, from which
the term novel evolved, as a noun for
a fiction story or as an adjective as
in a novel idea. This latter example is
what we’re dealing with here.
Some of these, maybe even all, will
endure, perhaps for decades and
become classics only to live on. They
will no longer be novelties, but those
of you who acquired them now will
later be considered pioneers.
Change is a good thing and it’s what
makes humans unique. While we may
not evolve at a quick pace genetically,
we are constantly trying to improve
our surroundings to make life more
satisfying.
